shiva panchAkshari

The panchAkshari nama:shivAya represents lord shivA who carries vairAghya as his bhUshaNa. And, this mantrA, though to the external eyes & limited mind represents shivA, purusha swarUpa – still here, swAmy is neither purusha nor strI nor napumsaka AND, he is all three as well..

When OM – which is Ananda swarUpam added to it, this vairAghya swarUpam starts dancing with the Anandam.. And, in this state we call him as natarAjar.. And, this natarAjar primarily destroys one’s sins. Hence, he is pApa nAshana mUrti and thus, this panchAkshari becomes pApa nAshana mantram..

Om – signifies Anandam.

And, Om na-ma – is akshara trayam for him.

shi – represents strI bhAvam
va – represents purusha bhAvam
ya – represents napumsaka bhAvam

Om nama:shivAya – is nothing but worshipping THAT swAmy as the parabraHma swarUpam.

And, further more

na – carries ahamkAra tattvam
ma – carries buddhi tattvam
shi – carries manas tattvam
va – carries chitta tattvam
ya – carries prakruti tattvam & OM is seen as our Atma swarUpam here.

And, just because natarAjar is Ananda swarUpam, he is seen within the breathe patterns hamsa: sOham.. This hamsa: sOham is what is the nartana of natarAjar.. This breathe pattern is what helps one witness his nartana and nothing else..

And, there is some other chant to see his tANDavam and that burns him inside-out..

Apart from these, there is an exclusive tANDava mantram in natarAja vidyA which worships him as a shivAnanda swarUpam; but it won’t help him to live a normal wordly life. And, he is been given no choice here. If he still puts himself to worldly matters, he feels as if his skull gets broken; like that of kAlasaNkarshini kAli vidyA’s..
